Orfit: Patient Positioning for Upright Proton Therapy

Building on three decades of experience in patient positioning and immobilization, Orfit is now preparing to launch a dedicated backrest solution designed for upright proton therapy workflows. While upright treatment introduces a new treatment geometry, the immobilization philosophy remains firmly rooted in proven clinical practice. The head and neck configuration integrates Orfit’s HP PRO platform, an established solution for high-precision radiotherapy and proton therapy applications. This enables centers to adopt upright workflows while leveraging familiar immobilization techniques and clinical confidence.

Available in both head and neck and extracranial configurations, the platform is complemented by dedicated accessories including arm support and patient comfort solutions. Together, these innovations help address the unique challenges of upright treatment delivery while supporting the precision required for modern proton therapy.
