M. Goitein Awards

Michael Goitein Awards

Established in memory of Michael Goitein, one of the true pioneers of particle therapy, the Michael Goitein Awards recognize the best scientific abstracts presented at the annual PTCOG Conference.

Three awards are presented each year, one in each of the following disciplines:

• Physics
• Radiation Biology
• Clinical Sciences

Recipients are selected through the peer-review process, with additional evaluation by the PTCOG Scientific Program Sub-Committee and Executive Committee.

Award winners receive a personalized engraved plaque and are recognized during the PTCOG Conference. Recipients are also featured on the PTCOG website and social media and are invited to participate in a photo opportunity with PTCOG leadership.
