The momentum behind the International Journal of Particle Therapy continues to accelerate in 2025, with overall submissions increasing by 58% and accepted papers rising by 10% compared to 2024.

Growth has been especially strong in the United States, where submissions climbed 52%, reflecting expanding engagement from researchers and clinicians across the field. These trends underscore the journal’s position as a leading platform for advancing particle therapy research worldwide.

International participation also reached new heights this year. Submissions from Asia surged 94% and Europe likewise demonstrated impressive growth, with submissions up 35% overall and France emerging as one of the most notable success stories. The expanding geographic diversity of contributors highlights the journal’s rising global visibility and scientific impact.

The journal’s influence is further reflected in the strong citation performance of its published research. Highly cited studies explored fast neutron therapy, proton therapy for breast

angiosarcoma and thyroid tumors, proton collaborative analyses for melanoma, and advances in proton pencil beam scanning and patient-specific quality assurance.

As the field continues to evolve, the journal remains committed to publishing innovative, practice-changing research from across the globe.
