International Journal of Proton Therapy (IJPT)

Volume 21 features research spanning clinical outcomes, treatment planning, artificial intelligence, FLASH therapy, and proton therapy utilization, and IJPT’s AI in Particle Therapy special issue is bringing together emerging work in AI-driven treatment planning, dose calculation, beam delivery, and related applications.

In addition, IJPT continues to expand its reach and engagement within the particle therapy community. Through June 2026, submissions increased 28% compared with the same period in 2025, while accepted manuscripts increased 21% and published articles increased 56%. The journal also recorded more than 85,000 ScienceDirect downloads during the first half of 2026, with readership spanning the United States, China, Germany, Japan, France, India, and many other countries.
