Winter School for Proton Therapy at PSI

In January 2027, the Center for Proton Therapy at PSI in Switzerland – Pioneer of PBS and IMPT – will celebrate 20 years of the Winter School for Proton Therapy. Over two decades, the Winter School has developed into an internationally recognized educational event, bringing together professionals from the clinical, scientific, and technological proton therapy community.

Since its beginning, the Winter School has welcomed more than 900 participants from approximately 26 countries, creating a unique international network for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and professional development.

The course provides comprehensive insight into the clinical, physical, and technological aspects of proton therapy using pencil beam scanning. A particular strength of the Winter School is its combination of expert lectures with practical, hands-on workshops, allowing participants to gain direct experience and connect theoretical concepts with clinical and technical applications.
