PTCOG 64 Highlights and Numbers

PTCOG 64 was a vibrant celebration of innovation, collaboration, and scientific advancement, bringing together 1,364 participants from 47 countries. Clinicians, physicists, researchers, radiation therapists, industry representatives, and students gathered from across the globe, reinforcing PTCOG’s position as the leading international meeting dedicated to particle therapy. 

One of the most notable achievements of the congress was the exceptional level of scientific engagement. PTCOG 64 received 857 abstract submissions, a 30% increase over the previous edition, demonstrating the growing momentum of research and clinical innovation within the field and contributing to a rich and highly interactive scientific experience. 

The program featured more than 110 educational and scientific sessions, supported by 82 faculty members, and provided attendees with numerous opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, and build new collaborations. Discussions throughout the meeting showcased the latest developments in particle therapy and highlighted the community’s commitment to advancing patient care and research excellence. 

Industry engagement also played an important role in the success of the congress. With 9 major sponsors, 39 exhibitors, 2 industry symposia, and 5 product theatre sessions, PTCOG 64 offered a dynamic environment for networking and partnership building between academia, healthcare professionals, and industry stakeholders. 

Beyond the impressive statistics, participant feedback highlighted the high quality of the program, the diversity of topics, and the many opportunities for meaningful interaction throughout the week.
