4th International Workshop on Microdosimetry for Particle Therapy. A Satellite Meeting to PTCOG 64

We are pleased to invite the particle therapy community to the 4th International Workshop on Microdosimetry for Particle Therapy, a forum dedicated to advancing the role of microdosimetry in radiation research and clinical particle therapy.

Microdosimetry provides detailed information on the stochastic energy deposition of radiation at microscopic scales and is increasingly recognized as a key tool to connect radiation physics with biological effectiveness in particle therapy. These measurements can provide insights into radiation quality and support developments in radiobiological modeling, treatment planning, and quality assurance.

The workshop will bring together experts in detector development, radiobiology, and medical physics to discuss recent advances in microdosimetric measurements, emerging instrumentation, and the integration of microdosimetry into clinical workflows and treatment planning systems. The program will cover topics including innovative detection technologies, interpretation of microdosimetric spectra, and the connection between microdosimetry and biological outcomes in particle therapy.

The workshop aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration between physicists, engineers, clinicians, and radiobiologists, providing a platform for sharing new results and discussing future directions for implementing microdosimetry in clinical particle therapy.

Researchers, students, detector developers, and clinicians interested in radiation quality, radiobiology, and particle therapy are warmly encouraged to participate.
