ECR News | PTCOG-64: Workshop

Our big event at PTCOG-64, the ECR workshop, has really taken shape! While the first invitations have been sent out to our carefully selected speakers, we’re continuing to work hard behind the scenes to make this an unforgettable experience.

The workshop is aimed at ECRs, and any PhD, Master’s, Undergraduate, postgraduate, postdoctoral researcher, medical physicist trainee or resident is warmly invited to join. The programme is built around key themes including mentorship and professional relationships, overcoming imposter syndrome, communicating your research effectively for academic, industry, and public purposes, and making the most of conferences through networking and self-presentation. Expect a mix of short talks, panel discussions, interactive sessions, and even a fun (and slightly competitive!) research pitch challenge.

To give you a better idea of what the day will look like, here’s the full schedule:

To maximise integration with PTCOG-64, the workshop will take place at the conference venue on Tuesday 9th June from 8:30am to 5:30pm — just in time to head straight to the PTCOG-64 welcome reception afterwards!

Registration is completely free and is handled through the main PTCOG-64 registration form. At the last step of the PTCOG 64 registration, simply select the ECR workshop as an add-on during the registration process. Places are limited, so we strongly encourage you to secure your spot as early as possible.
